Art Class, Swindon Chapel, Swindon

In February 2005 I started an art class on Friday mornings from 10 til 12.30pm.

The class has developed into a very enjoyable and social occassion for our lovely little group.  My members have come on in leaps and bounds and are now able to paint some extremely presentable portraits as well as landscapes and still lifes.  We have also had a very enjoyable term with Mosaics when the class produced some wonderful pieces.

St. John's Primary School

Acrylic Paintings

In March 2005 the Mrs Attwood, the Headmisstress of St. John's asked me to produce some paintings along with the children.  The whole school was involved in painting acrylics on canvases.  Each class produced a large landscape to represent one of the Seasons and all four paintings were placed on the wall in the main corridor.  The children worked very well and I particularly liked their individual design ideas.  Each child also produced a small canvas to take home.

Mosaic

I was recently asked to involve the children of St. John's Primary School in the design and manufacture of a welcome sign to go on the front wall of the school.

The children aged between 4 and 12 years each took part in making this 5' x 8' sign and they thoroughly enjoyed the process and they were all very proud to have taken part.  Hopefully this sign will be there for many years to come.
